Bruins vs Flames

The Boston Bruins brought home a 4-2 win Saturday, Dec. 11th, against the Calgary Flames.

With a little more than 2 minutes left in the first period, defenseman Connor Clifton scored the first goal for Boston to take a 1-0 lead.

Early in the second period, left wing Brad Marchand tipped in David Pastrňáks’ shot to make the lead 2-0 for the Bruins. Not long after, Charlie McAvoy also scored by slap-shooting the puck, making it 3-0. A power play for Calgary occurred in the bottom of the second, when right wing Matthew Tkachuk scored the team’s first goal of the game (3-1).

At the top of the third period, new Bruins recruit Curtis Lazar backhanded the puck to make the game 4-1. Calgary’s centerman Sean Monahan scored the last goal of the night, ending the game with the Bruins winning 4-2.
